Alignment

This image shows the developing zebrafish brain vasculature, viewed from the side using two different markers. While all vessels are shown in magenta, more vein-like blood vessels are shown in green. The bright green region on the left is the developing heart and the loop on the bottom is the developing fin.

Technique: The image was acquired using a Zeiss Z.1 light-sheet fluorescence microscope with a Plan-Apochromat 20×/1.0 Corr and=1.38 objective and a scientific complementary metal-oxide semiconductor detection unit. Magenta and green signals from stable transgenic lines were then acquired merged digitally. Maximum intensity projection was produced using Fiji.
